The Amateur Photography Contest at Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge is underway! Send them your best pictures taken on the refuge between September 1, 2017 and August 31, 2018.
Guidelines
Photos must be taken on the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, Basom, New York, between September 1, 2017 and August 31, 2018.
Photographers may enter only one (1) photo per category:
Refuge Wildlife – mammals, birds, fish, insects, reptiles, etc.
Refuge Habitat/Scenery – depicts a view or views of natural features of a landscape, or an area or environment in which an animal or plant normally lives.
Young Nature Photographer – young photographers aged 14 years old and younger. Photo subject should be wildlife or habitat from Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge.
NOTE: Photographers over 14 yrs. of age may enter two (2) photos/ Wildlife and Habitat. Photographers 14 yrs. and under may enter three (3) photos/ Young Nature Photographer, Wildlife, and Habitat.
Official Contest Rules
1. Photographers must be non-professional.
2. All entries must be taken in public areas or during events at Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge between September 1, 2017 and August 31, 2018.
3. Photographs must be in digital format. Please submit .jpeg/ .jpg images on a compact disc; the digital images will be judged as submitted. Both black & white and color photos are eligible. All entries should be accompanied by a 4”x 6” reference print of the image submitted for judging, plus a signed contest entry form. 4. Mail or deliver all entries to: Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge Photo Contest 1101 Casey Road, Basom, NY 14013 A completed and signed contest entry form (or copy thereof) must accompany each photo entered.
5. All entries must be received by August 31, 2018.
