Last evening on March 26 there was a public forum with Flora, Council member Chris Scanlon, Dasheeda Dawson, President of Flora Buffalo and Dr. Doug Scheidt- Provost of ECC
Flora discussed its relationship with Roswell research, Education, % of profits going to Non-profits, jobs, training and incubator opportunities.
Flora’s development is totally dependent on legalization of marijuana in NY State.

- Number of employees in California (Flora was unsure but said 120)- This number needs to be confirmed as they are stating between 500 and 1000 for Buffalo.

- Fan Noise used as dehumidifiers to fight mold. Reports of it being as loud as jet engine.

- Relative to smell and noise issues- Flora never answered the question specifically but indicated that techniques used in other industries are now being used in the cannabis issue. This needs to be defined specifically for the EPA and community.
- Recreational vs. medicinal. While there was some talk about medicinal, Flora indicated that its focus would be on recreational marijuana.
