Bring back Spectra to Manage Canalside Concerts vs. Rich Products “Be Our Guest”

This year Be Our Guest has done everything it can to ruin the Thursday Canalside concerts including:

  • FREE Thursday Concerts are now gone for good, increasing from FREE to now $5 to $40 once Be Our Guest took over
  • Starting two weeks later- June 28 vs. June 13
  • There is only ONE concert on a Thursday
  • No longer every week, now gaps
  • Three less concerts that in 2017 and 5 of the 9 you will have to pay $10 to $40.

    • June 28 – Twiddle and Ripe (Friday)
    • June 29- T.I- $10 (Saturday)
    • July 12- Get the Led Out (Friday)
    • July 18 – Psychedelic Furs and James (Thursday)
    • August 6- Incubus- $10 (Tuesday)
    • August 10 – Nelly (Saturday)- $40
    • August 27 – Social Distortion and Flogging Molly- $15 (Tuesday)

    • 6/30 The Buffalo Philharmonic and Strictly Hip
    • 7/6 The Tea Party
    • 7/13 Ghost Face Killah w/ Slick Rick

    • 8/10 Robert Randolph and The Family Band
    • 8/17 USS – Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker
  • Back to back concerts- ie June 28 and 29
  • And that doesn’t include  Be Our Guest management that has had only ONE exit in the past, so-called security that was really a bunch of early 20-somethings running around with a T-shirt that said security, and worst of all the city signed a five-year contract with Be Our Guest (we call that in-breeding). Perhaps there is a breach of contract clause- FREE Thursday Concerts are not on Thursdays and 5 of 9 are no longer not even $5 for $10 to $40.
