Invasive Pragmites- they consume a lot of water and lower water levels in wetlands, flow of water and clog drainage ditches. Plus, crowds out other species and blocks access to water. As contrasted to cattails, they don’t consume as much water and provide a haven for tiny fish and birds and wildlife feed on them. Cattails can also remove polluting materials.
