The Thanksgiving Turkey Trot is on November 23, 2023 at 9am to noon. It is a 8K walk or run. Registration is $42. The route begins on Delaware at Tacoma and finisheds on Franklin Street near the Buffalo Convention Center– Map
And, yes, there is a costume contest -prizes are awarded for the top three most creative individual and group costumes, as voted on by crowd applause.To enter, simply head to the Delaware YMCA on race day (just north of the start line) and check in at the stage no later than 8:30 am to be eligible for consideration. Winners are announced on-site prior to the start of the race.
Packet Pick-up-Pre-Race packet pick-up is available between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm from Monday November 20 through Wednesday, November 22 at the Independent Health Family YMCA 150 Tech Drive, Amherst, NY 14221. Race Day packet pick-up is available between 7:00 and 8:30 am at the Delaware Family YMCA, 2564 Delaware Avenue in North Buffalo. (If you are able to do so, it is highly recommended that you pick up your packet prior to race day.)
Shuttle buses will run from Pearl Street behind the Convention Center to the North Buffalo Target Plaza
parking lot (2626 Delaware Ave.). Pre-race shuttles run from 7:00-7:45 am; plan to arrive EARLY as lines will be long. Post-race shuttles run from approximately 10:00 am to 11:45 am.
