Mars Geology by Dr. Kevin Williams- Buffalo Geological Club Lecture– February 7, 2025 at 7pm at 100 Lee Street. FREE Admission and open to the public.
Dr. Kevin Williams: Geomorphologist/Planetary Geologist will be giving a talk titled “Mars Update: Results from the Red Planet”. With almost 60 years’ worth of spacecraft observations, we now know a lot about the history of Mars, its geology, and water on its surface. Still, many questions remain, and we use more advanced spacecraft to help peel back the layers and to learn more about Mars. This presentation will discuss past and recent results from orbiting and landed spacecraft and future plans for new missions.
