No More Pennies- Trump Tells Mint to Stop Making them which is probably a good thing as the US Mint’s annual report says it costs $3.69 to make and distribute a penny and had a loss of $85.3 million last year.  Canada quit producing pennies in 2012- cash transactions are rounded to the nearest nickel. While we have seen these numbers vary from various sources, the bottom line- the penny should go. So, for this we give Trump a thumb’s up.

So, keep those old rare ones because they will probably over time go up in value.
