He wants at least 3000 arrest a day, up from about 650 a day during the past five months. This is a sad day for all Americans –these are not criminals–they are the people who work in farmer’s fields, put the roof on your house. When is Congress going to fund judicial processing of immigrants–there are 3.5 million pending cases in US immigration court and make a path to citizenship –this has been going on for decades. That is what Trump should be doing- getting more funds for the processing.
Issues include separation of families, ignoring due process rights, conditions in detention facilites, reduction in the GDP and tax revenues, cost of mass deportation and enforcement.
Trump is pushing this because he has FAILED on everything else–reducing inflation (have you looked at your electric bill lately), ending the war in Ukraine, ending the war in Gaza, cutting federal spending, having Mexico pay for the border wall, having China pay for tariffs (we get to pay to fund tax decreases for wealthy and corporations-30% plus on some products an additional 25%). Well, he did deliver on pardoning January 6 rioters and he did withdraw from Paris climate accords.
