Update – Surprise, Trump backed off tariffs and has some kind of deal meanwhile disparaging our European allies in the process. Pathetic.

- Can’t hand Greenland over the United States
- Been friend of United States
- Greenland has been active defending against Russia
- China has no presence in Greenland – no land, no consulate
- US once had 30 bases with 15,000 soldiers in Greenland, US reduced it to one base
- US has complete and full military access to Greenland for defense
- US has one base used for protection against nuclear attack from Russia
- US can have as many bases as they want. The old bases and runways are still there and the US can reopen them.
- And, US would not get anything more than they already have by taking over Greenland
- Trump proposed tariffs-10% starting Feb 1 and 25% starting June 1. Denmark is not going to sell Greenland at any cost. Don’t think it will affect Danish economy much.
- To sell people like some product that you can sell off is just not going to happen.

And, from our perspective- is Trump just being a bully or is he totally out of control? The US already has a presence there. Where would the $700 BILLION come from to buy it anyway–Defense, Medicare, Social Security? By the time his term ends, the US will not have any international friends.
