Trump Says “It is not possible to fund Medicaid, Medicare and Day Care Because Of Iran War Costs and says that it should be up to the staes to “take care” of those programs. Meanwhile, we spent $11.3 BILLION in the first six days of the Iran War and now costs are over $25 Billion and since the deadline keeps getting extended could reach $45 billion+.

Latest News- April 3- 9am- NY Times- Now he wants Congress to Approve $1.5 TRILLION for defense in the 2027 fiscal year along wtih $73 billion in cuts of domestic programs.A 40% increase vs. this year. He was the one that renamed the Dept of Defense the Dept of War. If you don’t have food or health, funding for defense is meaningless. He has insulted every ally we have.

Hello…we paid  payroll taxes (FICA) federal income taxes for Medicare..so how  he can defund that to pay for the war. Meanwhile in March (2026) Trump wants $200 Billion ADDITIONAL funding from Congress to replenish US War supplies and to sustain the war in Iran. So, if we spent $25-40 Billion on Iran war, why is he asking for $200 Billion???

Meanwhile, Iran’s drones cost around $20 to $50,000 each and the Patriot missles to shoot them down cost $1-4 million. And Iran has thousands (40-80,000) of drones and can produce 10,000 a month. And, as of April 3, Iran is still believed to have half of their arsenal still operational. And, after military and nukes were destroyed, why are we still there? Regime change, get real. Trump thinks this is going to be like Venezuela…will somebody talk to this guy…clueless.

Then there is the $45 BILLION he wants to convert warehouses to detention centers.Previously, ICE’s detention center budget was $3.4 Billion. And, then there is the $74.85 Billion in funding from the One Big Beautiful Bill for ICE. Of the $74.85 billion in new funding, $45 billion was dedicated to detention capacity, and nearly $30 billion for hiring, training, and bonuses.Meanwhile, while ICE was focusing on Minnesota, most illegal immigrants are in Texas, Florida, California, Arizona and NY.

Between January, 2025 and March, 2026- there has been 600,000 illegal aliens deported. ICE detention as of early 2026 is around 70,000.So, let’s divide 70,000 detainees into $45 BILLION for warehouse conversion…$642,857 per detainee. Of these 50,000 had no prior criminal record. (Meanwhile while we don’t agree with Biden’s immigration policy, he did deport 271,484 individuals of which 82% were at the border and ICE removed 115,000 people who had criminal convictions under Biden.)

Venezuela excursion cost was $700 million only to find out that oil companies (9 days after he did it, he decided to talk to oil companies) only to discover they do not want to invest because of cost and the instability of the country and bad infrastructure.

Meanwhile, we are requiring Medicaid recipients to work or do 80 hours of community service per month. This applies to those 19 to 64- excluded are pregnant women, caregivers of young children, and medically frail. Ok, let’s suppose you are poor, no car, not near public transportation, limited education–just how are you going to meet this requirement? And, have you ever tried to get a job over 55?

And, then there is food- over ONE MILLion people will lose SNAP in 2026 with work requirements- 80 hours per month for those 18-64  without dependents. And, veterans, homeless individuals and young adults aging out of foster car are not longer exempted. Again, you are poor, no car, not near public transportation and have limited education and in the case of foster kids aging out of system- no home.

Trump’s reckless economic policies –tariffs, refund of tariffs, lower taxes for corporations, offending Greenland and European countries resulting in them repatriating gold reserves from the NY federal reserve plus Japan increased their treasury percentage leading to reducing of their investment in the US Bonds- and they are the largest investor in US bonds- $1.2 trillion. And, then the Iran war.
