Vietnam Moving Wall at Kenan Center- August 27 to 31, 2026-open 24/7 at 433 Locust St, Lockport. 253 foot replica of Washington DC  Wall. Over 500 soldiers from Buffalo and WNY died during the Vietnam War of the 58,220 who died nationally and more than 300,000 wounded and 1200 missing.

Among those greeting this solemn occasion will be Annette Wysocki, dean of the University at Buffalo School of Nursing, along with faculty and students of the Nursing School. Dean Wysocki, students and faculty will be present to escort panels bearing the names of the eight nurses who died during their military service in Vietnam.

1st Lt. Sharon Ann Lane (U.S. Army) – Killed by a rocket explosion on June 8, 1969, 10 weeks after arriving in Vietnam. 1st Lt. Lane was assigned to the 312th Evacuation Hospital in Chu Lai. Her name is on Panel 23W, Line 112.

2nd Lt. Carol Ann Elizabeth Drazba (U.S. Army) – Killed in a helicopter crash near Saigon on February 18, 1966. 2nd Lt. Drazba was assigned to the 3rd Field Hospital in Saigon. Her name is on Panel 5E, Line 46.

2nd Lt. Elizabeth Ann Jones (U.S. Army) – Killed on February 18, 1966, in a helicopter crash alongside 2nd Lt. Drazba. 2nd Lt. Jones was also assigned to the 3rd Field Hospital in Saigon. Her name is on Panel 5E, Line 47.

Capt. Eleanor Grace Alexander (U.S. Army) – Died in a plane crash on November 30, 1967, returning from mass casualty duty in Pleiku. Captain Alexander was assigned to the 85th Evacuation Hospital in Qui Nhon. Her name is on Panel 31 E, Line 8.

1st Lt. Hedwig Diane Orlowski (U.S. Army) – Died in a plane crash on November 30, 1967, along with Captain Alexander. 1st. Lt. Orlowski was assigned to the 67th Evacuation Hospital in Qui Nhon and was on temporary assignment at the time of the crash. Her name is on Panel 31 E, Line 15.

2nd Lt. Pamela Dorothy Donovan (U.S. Army) – Died of a rare Southeast Asian virus resulting in pneumonia on July 8, 1968. 2nd Lt. Donovan was assigned to the 85th Evacuation Hospital in Qui Nhon. Panel 53W, Line 43.

Lt. Col. Annie Ruth Graham (U.S. Army) – Suffered a stroke and died on August 14, 1968, while serving as Chief Nurse of the 91st Evacuation Hospital in Tuy Hoa. Her name is on Panel 48 W, Line 12.

Capt. Mary Therese Klinker (U.S. Air Force) – Died on April 4, 1975, when her medical evacuation flight crashed during Operation Babylift, 5 weeks before the fall of Saigon. Captain Klinker was a flight nurse. Her name is on Panel 1W, Line 122.
