Janis Joplin is Terrific at Kavinoky Theater-September 11 to October 3, 2026 and having gone, Samatha Joy belts out Janis Joplin’s songs true to her voice and energy while Dasia Cervi, Danielle Green, Anika Pace, Ember Tate-Steele were all terrific as muses from the past that influenced Joplin – Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, and Etta James.
It’s high energy with supporting musicians that make the evening a pleasure. Yes, there is some profanity so if you are a goody two-shoes, stay home. For those who remember Janis and Woodstock, this will be a memorable evening.
