The Thanksgiving Turkey Trot in Buffalo NY is November 28 at 9am to noon. It is a 8K walk or run. Registration is $41.
And, yes, there is a costume contest for best individual and best group costumes! Stage in front of Delaware YMCA under Y log at 8:25am. Prizes for most creative individual and group costumes.
Packet Pick-up-Pre-race packet pick-up is available Monday, November 25 through Wednesday, November 27 at the INDEPENDENT HEALTH FAMILY BRANCH YMCA, located at 150 Tech Drive in Amherst (off of Main Street and Wehrle Drive near the ECC North Campus). Race Day packet pick-up is also available 7:00-8:30 am at the DELAWARE FAMILY YMCA, 2564 Delaware Avenue in North Buffalo.
Before the start, shuttle buses run from the Convention Center to the North Buffalo Target Plaza parking lot (2626 Delaware Ave.) from 7:00–7:45 am. THE LAST BUS LEAVES THE CONVENTION CENTER AT 7:45 am. After the race, shuttle buses run from the PEARL STREET SIDE of the Convention Center to the Target parking lot on Delaware from 10:00–11:45 am.
To watch, Hertel and Delaware is good. Race Starts at Delaware and Tacoma and ends at Franklin and Niagara. Straight down Delaware. See race course map.
