Arcade Arts and Antique Festival– September 21, 2024 from 10am to 5pm.The festival will include events at various locations, including the Gibby House, Arcade Hotel, Arcade Elementary School, Crystal Inn Patio, and Old Firehall. The Arcade Historical Society will also participate with a Keystone Hall exhibit and a vintage sale of furniture and antiques. The festival will also feature arts and crafts vendors along Main Street.
The Arcade Historical Society will be participating in Arcade’s Arts & Antiques Festival again; this year on Saturday, September 21st. Events at the Gibby House (331 W. Main Street) from 10am to Noon:
- Keystone Hall exhibit – this building was built in 1874, has always had a bank and it still stands in 2024. Come learn about all the events that happened in the third floor hall before there was an auditorium at the school.
- Vintage Sale of furniture and assorted antiques, some wood pieces made by Vernon Gibby
Events at the Old Fire Hall (15 Liberty Street) Noon to 4pm:
- Basket Raffle fundraiser – the drawing will be at 4pm. You do not need to be present to win.
- Lone Ranger Exhibit, Elementary Student Art Show and Kids art activity – The Lone Ranger’s author, Fran Striker, lived in Arcade and is buried in Arcade Rural Cemetery. He based some of his characters on people in town. See the exhibit and the elementary students artwork based on the Lone Ranger. Coloring sheets available for kids to color while parents are in the basket raffle.
