Dunkirk Great Lakes Grand Prix Speed Boat Competition, Beach Bash and Re-enactments are August 18-19.
Speed Boat Competition
Viewing races from Point Gratiot to Wright Park (Servall Road runs into Wright Park Drive).This internationally televised sporting event features $1.5-$2 million dollar boats and will be broadcast in 103 countries. Gate fee is $8 and veterans and kids under 12 are free.
Beach Bash
Features live bands- FREEZE and The Rising plus defending World Champion Sand Sculptor Dan Belcher sculpting at Wright Park Beach, Main Street Beach and Cedar Beach by the lighthouse throughout the weekend; each sculpture takes him eight to 10 hours roughly to complete. Fieldbrook Will be giving away ice cream.
