New York City Veteran’s Day Parade is November 11 at 11:15am and ends around 3:30pm and the parade features over 250 groups and 25,000+ participants.
The parade goes north on Fifth Avenue, from 26th to 52nd Street. (Map) The route is 1.2 miles, and takes approximately 30 ~ 35 minutes.
Theme
2018 marks the Centennial Commemoration of the end of World War I on November 11, 1918. The theme for the 2018 Veterans Day Poster is: “The War to End All Wars”. The year’s poster depicts the remembrance poppy and a barbed wire fence. The poppy has been used since 1921 to commemorate military personnel who have died in war was inspired by the World War I poem “In Flanders Fields”. The barbed wire represents the thousands of miles wire that was spread by both sides in WWI.
