Niagara Frontier Botanical Society Zoom Meeting is April 12, 2022 at 7:30pm.”Prolonged Dormancy, a Puzzling Plant Phenomenon.” The speaker will be Dr. Kathy Gregg, Professor Emeritus of Biology at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Her research has focused on many aspects of orchid biology, and her talk will discuss prolonged dormancy in a number of orchid species, including factors which appear to reduce or enhance this phenomenon and possible adaptive reasons for the phenomenon.
