Fleet Week in NYC is May 21-27 at the New York Harbor at the Intrepid Museum, Times Square, Concerts in Central Park, Helicopter Landing on Staten Island, Freedom Run and more.
Tuesday, May 21 10am to Noon
1.Helicopter Landing at Miller Field, 600 New Dorp Ln., Staten Island
- Fast rope demonstration conducted by a team of U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) members from Virginia Beach, Va. and Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron NINE (HSC-9), known as the “Tridents,” from Norfolk, Va. After the demonstration, various helicopters will be available for tours. Musical performance by the U.S. Fleet Forces “Brass Band;” see various military displays, meet military personnel, try on equipment and gear. Click here for the event flyer. Location: Fort Hamilton, Engeldrum Bluff, 101st St. & Fort Hamilton Pkwy, Brooklyn
- View ships as they travel through the New York Harbor during the Parade of Ships. Not open to the public. DOD ID required to enter base.
3. Fleet Week at Fort Wadsworth- time TBD
Location: Fort Wadsworth Overlook, 210 New York Ave, Staten Island
- View ships as they travel through the New York Harbor during the Parade of Ships. Event is free to the public to view.
4. Navy Band Concert at Arch in Washington Square Park-Noon – 1 p.m.
Location: Washington Square Park Arch, W. 4th Street, Greenwich Village, Manhattan
- Navy Band Northeast’s “Ceremonial Band” will perform a concert at the Arch at Washington Square Park. Event is free and open to the public.
5. Navy Band Concert at South Street Seaport-12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

2. Annual Fleet Week Freedom Run-Time: 8 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Location: North Cove Marina to 9/11 Memorial Plaza
- The annual Fleet Week Freedom Run is a 1.7 mile fun run through financial district and culminating at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza. Event is free and open to the public to view.

Location: Pier 86 (Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum) in Manhattan

5.Joint Reenlistment and Promotion Ceremony-2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Location: 9/11 Memorial Plaza, cobblestone area between vanishing pools
- Sea service members will participate in a Reenlistment and Promotion Ceremony on the 9/11 Memorial Plaza. Event is free and open to the public.

- The U.S. Navy will host an aviation event at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow (Nassau County), NY. Event will include military an non-military static displays and the U.S. Fleet Forces “Brass Band” will also perform. Event is free and open to the public.
6. Side By Side Military Appreciation Event presented by Northwell Health- Noon – 5 p.m.
Location: Rockefeller Center, 45 Rockefeller Plaza, Manhattan
- Event will include musical performances and numerous military static displays on the Rockefeller Center plaza. Event is free and open to the public.
7. U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue Demonstration- Noon – 12:30 p.m.
Location: Homeport Pier, Staten Island
- U.S. Coast Guard will conduct a Search and Rescue demonstration in the vicinity of the water off of the Staten Island Homeport Pier for visitors to see. Event is free and open to the public.

- Join the U.S. Navy (USN), U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) as they showcase the latest capabilities of today’s maritime services. Event will include a performance by U.S. Fleet Forces “Brass Band;” USN and USMC helicopter static displays; USN Dive Tank; USO; USMC Martial Arts Program demonstration and pull-up challenge; USCG Search and Rescue demonstration; USCG Silent Drill Team and USMC Battle Color Detachment performances; military static displays, including Stewards of the Sea, World War I Commission, Submarine Forces, USMC ordnance and vehicles; kids activities, bounce houses and face painting, food trucks and much more! 6. 11th Annual Veterans Appreciation Day & Memorial Tribute Event at Rye Playland
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

- Event will include military aviation static displays and a ceremony in honor of Memorial Day. Event is free and open to the public.
7. Annual Fleet Week Music Festival-Noon – 6 p.m.
Location: Flagship Brewery, 140 Minthorne St., Staten Island
- The Flagship Brewery and community members will host their annual music festival in honor of Fleet Week. Local bands scheduled to perform. Event is free and open to the public.
8. Family Sunday at Citi Field- 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Citi Field, 123-01 Roosevelt Ave., Queens
- See military static displays on the plaza, then stay for the game as the New York Mets take on the Detroit Tigers, and also see a flyover with FA-18 Hornets from NAS Oceana, Navy Band Northeast singer performing the national anthem, and honor Lucille Posner, a former 2nd class petty officer who served as part of Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES) in World War II as the “Veteran of the Game.”
