Arbor Day Poster Contest – Celebrate the beauty of New York State’s trees by participating in DEC’s annual Arbor Day Poster Contest! Submit your original photography or artwork to be considered for the 2026 New York State Arbor Day Poster. DEC prints thousands of posters for distribution to schools, the New York State Fair, libraries, and other venues every year. This year’s theme is “Trees for the Future,” and submissions should express the connections between people and trees, the importance of planting trees for future generations, and the role of trees in providing resilience in a changing
climate. Deadline: November 30, 2025.
Monthly Buffalo Blueway photo contest! All you have to do is visit one of the amazing public Blueway sites around the Buffalo River, take a photo and upload it in the form below with a brief description. One entry per month. Their staff will pick our favorite and send that person a Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper themed swag item. Each month we’ll share some of the top images online with our followers and provide an image credit.
