While it was cloudy and it looked like we were going to see absolutely nothing, at the last minute the clouds parted and we got to see some of the solar eclipse. I was with friends at Knox Farm State Park which turned out to be the perfect location with broad vistas and rolling hills.
Just gorgeous. As for the total eclipse, if you were not there, it would be hard to explain the overall experience, especially with a crowd of people (the park has around 1500 people I think as they had an event there for it). It is quick—suddenly it gets colder and then almost total darkness and everyone is breathless. You see initially light at both ends of the skyline and then it becomes totally dark…for about 4 minutes.  Awesome to say the least. I feel privileged to have been able to experience it in my life time. The last eclipse I saw on August 21, 2017 was nothing like this one. Hope you got to see some of it.
By the way, with the clouds- didn’t need solar glasses. And, could use camera until the end when it got too bright. And, I didn’t have any special lens or long photo lens to take these shots…so best I could do. Am anxious to see what others in my photo club got with better equipment and more experience.
