Things You Can Do:
- Get 7-8 hrs of sleep
- Avoid caffeine, alcohol, fast food
- Exercise – clean out a drawer, basement, weed your yard, weed a nearby lot
- Do something for somebody else
- Do the things you love – listen to music, garden, paint, play with pets
- Limit technology – turn off the TV, limit social media- don’t constantly watch covid news
- Get closer to your friends and family – call, email, text, video chat, social media, write long hand- especially if you are feeling socially isolated.
- Journal- write an email to yourself describing your feelings
- Go for a walk – around the neighborhood, in a park, any where, get outside
- Learn something new -links –LA Times Suggestions, NPR List, MYModernmet, 500 FREE IVY League courses, Free Fitness Studios, Zoos and Aquariums, Concerts, Metropolitan Opera, NBA–NFL, NHL and MLB archived games, virtual museum tours.
- Volunteer- you can provide part time customer service for food banks, etc.
