Wine and Learn to make Pottery at Artpark – July 5 to August 4, 2023. Learn the basic techniques of the Potter’s wheel. You will throw pottery on the wheel and then glaze the pottery. 21+ Tickets are $60.
Evening includes:
- 2 single-serve bottles of wine
- 1 bottle of water
- 1.5 hours of unlimited throwing on the wheel with a clay instructor
- 2 best pieces of pottery to be glazed and fired, pottery to pick up in two weeks.
Participants will throw pottery on the wheel and then glaze it. Pottery will be fired in a kiln and then must be picked up at Artpark: Monday, July 31st 9:00-11:00AM or 4:00-6:00PM (for sessions 7/22 and before) or Monday, August 28th during those hours.
They use red clay, which looks beautiful but can stain light colored clothing, wearing old/dark clothing is recommended. They say you will have clay on you when you leave. Please dress with that in mind or bring an apron to wear.
This is a moderate activity level (we use kick wheels). Please wear sneakers or shoes with backs.
