Best Garden Center in Buffalo is the Seneca Greenhouse in West Seneca at 2250 Transit Road (near Route 400 South). They have hundreds of plants at great prices.
Just went there for the first time–drove by dozens of time and thought it was just a small place. Wrong! It extends way in the back and they have the best selection of anywhere in the general area.
Having gone to Lowes- bought Heather there and some pansies, Johnson’s – great prices on coleus and really nice, Murray Bros for popcorn plants (you really need to get these- rub leaves, smells like popcorn and gets yellow bloom) and pine bark mulch, Lockwoods- always a stable selection, but Seneca Greenhouse overall beat them all in terms of variety and they have reasonable prices.
We did not explore Amherst and north Buffalo so there may be some great places there as well.
