Janis Joplin is Terrific at Kavinoky Theater-October 1 to October 3, 2026 and having gone, Samatha Joy belts out Janis Joplin’s songs true to her voice and energy while Dasia Cervi, Danielle Green, Anika Pace, Ember Tate-Steele were all terrific as muses from the past that influenced Joplin – Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, and Etta James.
It’s high energy with supporting musicians that make the evening a pleasure. Yes, there is some profanity so if you are a goody two-shoes, stay home. For those who remember Janis and Woodstock, this will be a memorable evening.
