New York Schools Open if Covid Rate Stays Low if during the first week of August and the Covid rate is below 5% and are in phase four based on a 14 day average (all regions are in phase four except NYC which is in phase 3) and if later in August the rate does not exceed 9% based on the 7-day average. The state has issued school guidelines.
New Travel Guidelines- those entering NY via planes and trains will need to fill out a form indicating where they are coming from and where they are going to. Failure to do so results in $2000 fine. There are 38 states with increasing rates of covid.
