Review of Canalside Music Concerts for 2018. Only major issue was Canalside creating $35 premium section for Kenny Wayne Shepherd concert which they eliminated thereafter.
Best Canalside Concert at Kenny Wayne Shepherd by far, followed by Fitz.
June 7 – Method Man and Redman – no review, scheduling conflict- no review
June 14- Fitz and The Tantrums- great & Mikky Ekko – Noelle Scaggs was great too!
June 28- Umphrey’s McGee- so- so at best. Once was good, not not.
July 12- Arrested Development (great) – Trews – not great
July 19- Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band – Terrific- Best this year
July 26- Lucy Dacus was dreadful – should be singing in a cafe.Father John Misty was ok
August 2- Dark Star Orchestra (Grateful Dead Cover band)- crowd pleaser
August 9- Headstones and Glorious Sons- good, Glorious Sons- dreadful
August 17- The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (ok, didn’t do it for us tho) and The Lowest of the Low (not great)
