Afro-Sankofa Festival at Albright Knox Museum– August 7, 2026 from 10am to 9pm at 1285 Elmwood Ave. FREE- featuers music, film, fashion, Nickel City Reptiles and food trucks plus drum and dance performances.

Festival Schedule of Events
  • 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Nickel City Reptiles & Exotics (Family nature and animal adventure)
  • 11-12 Noon – Performance by Womba Africa- Lincoln Stairs
  • 12:00 PM: “One Race, The Human Race” Keynote Address by Emmanuel Kulu, Jr.
  • 1-2pm – Performance by Fanny Salsa- outdoor portico
  • 2:00 PM: And a Shot Rang Out: The Tulsa Massacre – Documentary screening by Tala Harden and Dr. Barbara Seals Nevergold, exploring the untold Buffalo connection
  • 4-6pm- Performances on the Portico
  • 6:00 PM: African Fashion Week Toronto Meets Buffalo (Vibrant runway fashion show)- Wilson Town Square
  • 7-8pm – Performances on the Portico
