Buffalo Police Union Wants New Tasers What Did They Do with Last $417,000 that was approved in the 2019-20 budget? They had 2 tasers of 780 police in 2019-20. What did they do with the money?
They also want money for new police vehicles- currently there is $296, 820 for vehicle repairs and rental equipment plus $1,400,00 for Vehicles and $32,000 for equipment and machinery repairs. And, then there is the $786,522 for perfect attendance incentive. We think the $786,522 should be used for tasers and training on them.
While we all support the police, we believe there should be some accounting as to how the monies are being spent.
And, while their were budget cuts of $1.6 Million, Pridgen said he wasn’t aware that tasers were part of the cuts.
