Christmas Bird Count in Central Park on January 5, 2020 led by NYC Audubon and Urban Park Rangers. FREE but register.
8:00 am: Meet at the South Pump Station of the Reservoir. Enter park at 85th Street & 5th Avenue. All counting groups will be escorted by Urban Park Rangers.
12:30 pm: Data tally & refreshments at the Arsenal Gallery (3rd floor of the Arsenal at 64th Street & 5th Avenue).
Last year 59 birdwatchers spotted 5,323 birds and 57 species including three different types of owl within 50 yards of each other.
