  • Locust Street Art: Painting From Life – Thursday, July 16th at 2 PM. For ages 17+. Learn to paint like the greats in this core artistic skills workshop. Painting from life has always been an important activity—capture the world around you in a painting that reflects how you see it!   • Tai Chi – Mondays, July 20th and 27th at 1 PM. Tai Chi offers gentle, low-impact exercise and moving meditation.   • Fossils, Fossils, Everywhere – Tuesday, 21st at 2 PM. In this program, we will discuss how fossils form and their different types. We’ll act like paleontologists by studying fossils from different parts of the world and trying to figure out which ones were land plants, which ones swam in the ancient oceans, and which ones were part of a dinosaur’s world. No registration required.
  • Forest Lawn Lecture – Wednesday, July 22nd at 6:30 PM. Discover the beauty and significance of Forest Lawn through an engaging presentation exploring its rich history and cultural importance to Western New York. Learn about the cemetery’s stunning landscape, remarkable art and architecture, and the stories of some of its most notable permanent residents. Registration is recommended but not required.

  • Locust Street Art: Torn Paper Collage – Thursday, July 30th at 2 PM. For ages 17+. Learn to paint with paper! In this workshop, students will cut, tear, fold, and glue paper and collage materials to their canvas to create a collaged artwork based on the world around them.
