- Elma Cooks! Cookbook Club – Wednesday, August 26th at 6 PM. Join us for our cookbook club! Meet fellow foodies, cookbook enthusiasts and wonderful people who will enrich your culinary interests. Browse the book “TODAY Loves Food,” pick a recipe, and share potluck style. Sign up at the front desk.

- Book A Technology Trainer – Thursday, September 10th at 1 PM, 2 PM, & 3 PM. Need computer assistance? We can help! These free 45 minute sessions are designed to assist with software support or Internet training. A variety of topics include training on the Microsoft Office suite and even how to download books onto your tablet or iPhone. Please register by calling 716-652-2719.
- Anything but the Paintbrush – Saturday, September 12th at 10:30 AM. For all ages! Create a painted masterpiece using unusual objects. Please register by calling 716-652-2719.
- Adult Chair Yoga – Mondays, September 14th 21st, 28th and October 5th at 1 PM. Yoga in a chair?! Yes! You don’t need to get down on the floor to experience the benefits of yoga. This class will include both seated postures and standing postures that use a chair for support. All fitness levels are welcome. A yoga mat to place under the chair is recommended. - Unwind – Monday, September 14th at 4 PM. A casual fiber arts group (the point is to hang out and make things). For ages 6-12. Bring a project you are working on, or participate in the month’s activity. We will explore different fiber arts such as crocheting, knitting, weaving, sewing, embroidering, felting. - Romantasy Book Club – Monday, September 14th at 6:30 PM. We will be discussing “Zodiac Academy” by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. I’m a reckless Gemini twin, secret heir to the Fae throne, dumped in a deadly academy where every student—vamp, wolf, siren—wants me dead and my crown. To claim my birthright I must out-power them all, survive classes that maim, and resist the Dragon shifter and his psycho crew who’d happily kill me before finals.
- Family Storytime – Choose one of three meeting times: Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays from September 15th to October 23rd at 10:30 AM. For ages birth to 5 years old. This is a 5-week session. Treat your kids to some songs and stories! Children must bring an adult lap to sit on. Please register by calling 716-652-2719.
- Book Club – Wednesday, September 16th at 6:30 PM – The month’s book selection is “Wolf Hollow” by Lauren Wolk. Stop by the library to pick up a copy of the book. All are welcome.
- Composting at Home – Monday, September 21st at 6 PM – Learn how easy it is to compost at home, reduce waste, and discover local programs and benefits. With Erie County Department of Environment and Planning. Please register by calling 716-652-2719.
- Raising Chickens – Wednesday, September 23rd at 5:30 PM. Learn the basics of raising healthy backyard chickens, from hatching chicks to caring for laying hens. With Tammi Kron, CCE Erie 4-H Livestock Educator. Please register by calling 716-652-2719.
- Lego Club – Saturday, September 26th at 1 PM. For ages 6-12. Join us for some Lego-building fun. We provide the Legos, and you try build a corn field and win a bookish prize! Please call 716-652-2719 to register.
- Halloween Book Boxes – Starting Monday, September 28th. For grades 4th-12th. Get your own curated box of books to read from the library! Each box will come with 2 library books handpicked for you along with snacks and goodies for you to keep. Let Jessi know you would like a box by Friday, October 9th. If you are new to Book Boxes, the form may be found here or you may fill one out at the library. Boxes will be available for pick up on Monday, October 19th.
- Mocktail and Craft Night – Monday, September 28th at 6 PM. Join us for mocktails while we make mug rugs! Teens and adults welcome. Please register by calling 716-652-2719.
