FREE Penn Dixie Zoom Lecture featuring Fluorescent Minerals on January 13, 2021 at 7pm.
Approximately 4,000 different mineral species have been identified to date. Over 500 of them are known to fluoresce or emit light under a shorter wavelength. Dino Zack, P.G. will discuss the various types of luminescence with a detailed explanation of mineral fluorescence.
