Dr. Knapp will share insights on the great naturalist, forester, conservationist, professor, and writer, Aldo Leopold. Considered the father of wildlife ecology and management, Leopold formulated the concept of a land ethic, a cornerstone of the American conservation movement, in his 1949 book, A Sand County Almanac.
Our speaker is Professor of Intercultural Studies & Biology at Houghton College.
