West Seneca Memorial Day Parade will not be held in 2021 but there will be a ceremony at Veterans Park on May 31 at 11AM and Civil War Camp and Ceremonies will run from 10am to 3pm.
West Seneca Joint Veterans Committee as we honor all service personnel who died in the service of our nation. A ceremony will be held to rededicate our World War I, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam monuments at the Walkway of Freedom in the West Seneca Veterans Memorial Park (in front of Town Hall).
From 10am to 3pm, members of the Civil War re-enactment regiment, the 155th New York Volunteer Infantry under the command of Captain David Bertuca, the US Civil War Engineer brigade under the leadership of Captain Ray Ball, Sr. and the “Garibaldi Guard” will recreate a Civil War base camp along the Walkway of Freedom. The Buffalo regiments will perform military ceremonies, provide educational information and demonstrate how camp life would have been during the War Between the States.
