Whirlpool Aero Car at Niagara Falls is at 3850 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada and is open between April  30 and November. Adults are $17.50 and Kids 6-12 are $11.50 (Canadian) so that is approximately $13.03 in US dollars for adults and $8.56 for kids. Note you need a passport or enhanced NY license.

Hours are Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm and 10am to 5pm- Monday – Friday.

  • The aerial cable car travels safely between two different points of the Canadian shore of the Niagara River over the spectacular Whirlpool.
  • Holds 40 people, but they limit it to 35.
  • A round trip is about one kilometer (3,600 feet) and takes about 10 minutes to navigate.

  • Upgrades in design and function occurred in 1961, 1967 and 1984.

Leonardo Torres Quevedo was a Spanish civil engineer who created algebraic machines, remote control devices, dirigibles, and the world’s first computer. His Aero Car represented a new type of aerial cable way that he called a “transbordador”. Officially opened on August 8, 1916, the Whirlpool Aero Car is the only one of its kind in existence.
