Programs at Whitworth Planetarium at Buffalo State on Elmwood-programs for kids plus laser music shows and cosmos. Tickets range from  $12-14 for adults, $10-12 for seniors and kids 5-17.

Saturdays-7pm- Diamonds In Winter.. Join the Planetarium Educator as they use our digital plametariun then awaken our amazing star projector and take you on a tour of the January cosmos. Learn how to spot this month’s four naked-eye planets and key constellations, and experience the majesty of the Milky Way, all while safe and warm with us in the dome!

Saturday, February4- 11am – Programming for Kids– Our Lights of Orion show features stories and stars of the constellation Orion, beginning with a myth presented in laser lights and further exploring the Hunter with a live presentation from our Planetarium Educator.  This show is recommended for children ages 4-11 and their families and lasts one hour.

Music- Saturdays- 8:30pm –  February 4. Program length is ~45 minutes and kids under 5 are not permitted. This show features: Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne / Juke Box Hero by Foreigner / Suffragette City by David Bowie / Long Distance Runaround by Yes / La Grange by ZZ Top / From the Beginning by Emerson, Lake & Palmer / Tonight by Genesis / YYZ by Rush / Ace of Spades by Motorhead.

Fridays- 7pm- Longest Night Winter’s Tale– Immerse yourself in a story of the seasons with an illustrated fable of courage, generosity, and renewal. Join a young girl born into a family of nomadic storytellers, and embark on a simple quest that leads to a dragon’s nest!

Music- 8:30pm on Fridays– February 3. Music of Rush. Laser show- kids under 5 not permitted. 45 minutes
